【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforthedetectionandestimationofdeleteriousparticlesinlubricatinggrease.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoalllubricatinggreases.Itcanalsobeusedtotestothersemi-solidorviscousmaterials.Greasefillers,suchasgraphiteandmolybdenumdisulfide,canbetestedforabrasivecontaminantsbyfirstmixingthemintopetrolatumorgreaseknowntobefreeofdeleteriousparticles.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemscouldresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
